Hip-Hop website for female emcees will release first mixtape on June 11, 2009.
LOS ANGELES, May 14, 2009—Underground Girls of Hip-Hop announced today the release date for their first mixtape, The Pink Carpet. Hosted by DJ Vlad, internationally renowned mixtape DJ and Executive Vice-President of Loud.com, The Pink Carpet is slated for release on June 11, 2009 and can be downloaded via the UndergroundGirlsofHipHop.com website.
"The Pink Carpet was truly a group effort," says Shylise Simpson, Founder. "Many of our featured artists were suggested to us by our online community and in some capacity has truly paved the way for females in Hip-Hop" Simpson adds, "Based on the response that we have received, there is a lot of support for talented female Hip-Hop artists entering the industry today." Artists featured on the mixtape include Mc Lyte, Lady Luck, Persia, Rasheeda, Ms. Toi, Big Chan, and other Underground female emcees.
Along with the upcoming release of The Pink Carpet, the expanding online community is also introduced to a new section of the Underground Girls of Hip-Hop's website.
