May 15, 2009, NEW YORK–The Academy, LLC announces the signing of Cheasleauen pronounced (Shass-lowen). The gifted singer/Rapper prepares to introduce herself to the world with her debut single, "Jelly," The infectiously obnoxious electronic track will soon heat up Top 40 and Crossover radio airwaves.

Born in Detroit but raised in Las Vegas, Cheasleauen always dreamt about being a professional singer. It wasn't until she moved to New York City to go to Molloy College in Long Island. It was from Long Island that Cheasleauen would get her break.  After one night looking for a manager on all places myspace, she would not only find a manager, but an opportunity of a lifetime. 

She messaged Jamel Johnson the CCO of The Academy, LLC and told him that she could sing, he said "I believe you, but I want to hear you, make the trek from Long Island to The Bronx and prove what you say true. She made the trip, and her voice, and realness made me manage her."

In 2008, Cheasleauen moved to Spokane, Washington to work with Asylum Records/Warner Bros. recording artist Adrian, to work on music for her and with Adrian. Cheasleauen's talent crosses musical genres and this will be displayed is on her debut very ambitious double album Miss America/ Miss Congeniality that is slated to be in stores December 09.
