March 27, 2009 (San Francisco, CA) – Just in time for Spring, Nickels & Diamonds Productions presents Pen 2 Paper, Bay Area Literary Series. This refreshing one of a kind event highlighting Bay Area Authors, combines literature with a nice social flair catering to authors, aspiring writers, book lovers and the general public.
The series begins with a focus on style and relationships. Invited guest Enitan Bereola, II, Author of "Bereolaesque: The Contemporary Gentleman & Etiquette Book for the Urban Sophisticate" mirrors the reigns of artists like Andre' 3000, Justin Timerberlake and Fonzworth Bentley for inspiring "sexy" as a lifestyle. Bereola has captured this very essence in his coffee table novel, receiving high praise and 5-star recommendations from entertainment elite: Sean Combs, Kenny Burns and J.Dakar, this will be a style bible for many. Bereolaesque is a good read, poignant for today's gentlemen and the women that adore a nicely groomed man (release date April 2009).
Since style garners confidence, a pheromone for catching someone's eye, we present Maleena Lawrence & Darice Bridges Co- Authors of "Just Friends"? The Book" (novel pending). In a time when "friends with benefits" is the norm, our ladies have dissected the common thoughts behind the ideal. These authors hosting discussion groups citywide leaned on the general public's perception about the boundaries of friendships. Come share in their journey and hear what your neighbors and others have to say when it comes to "friendlationships".
Pen2Paper is an open participatory event with authors who will discuss their books, taking questions about the process of writing and their inspirations; followed with a social mixer where guests can partake in decadent drinks and mingle with like-minded adults who are looking to be entertained without necessarily having to go to a "club".
The kick-off of the Pen 2 Paper series begins Saturday, March 28th, 2009 at Mr. Barbershop & Urban Lounge, 560 Sacramento Street in San Francisco, California, doors open at 5:00p.m. The event will begin at 6:00 with social hour following the author's Q&A Session.
Mr. Barbershop is a trendsetting barbershop & lounge business partners Mr. Kumi Walker & Sean Heywood, East Coast natives, have planted their feet in the bay area bringing along their concept of professional services in a style all their own. The Pen2Paper Bay Area Literary event series celebrates the culture and style of the Bay Area, future events will include guest authors/poets/artists/taste makers exposing one's unique craft to a diverse audience. The buzz about this event has grown; already we have authors waiting to be featured, upcoming series: Urban Literature, Race, Class & History and Inter-racial dating.
