Jair Dynast engaged inner-city kids today with a moving keynote address at Ryerson University in Toronto. The enthusiastic students were intrigued with his life story and had more questions for Jair than time would allow.
Jair warmed-up the crowd with his clever use of “IN” words as a way to introduce the audience to his style and songwriting skills. He then delivered a moving speech that captivated the students as they listened attentively.
Jair’s speech touched on the historic election of President, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King’s dream, his own background from his high school days playing basketball as well as his blossoming musical career.
Throughout the Toronto District School Board, students are celebrating African Heritage Month and Jair has been invited to share, interact through a series of workshops as well as perform his song, ‘Art of Invention’ that was written for the occasion with students.
Following Jair’s keynote speech at Ryerson University and by special request, at the end of the question and answer period, students were treated to a live streaming performance of the song directly from Jair Dynast’s website.
