May 12, 2008 – Summer 2009 is beginning to sizzle for Celebrity DJ L. He recently inked a deal with Top Model Agency Ikon Model Management. DJ L has joined the ranks with other top celebrity DJ's who have expanded their brand by diversifying themselves in other areas of media and entertainment. Ikon Model Management was founded in 1996 by former model Cynthia Saldana-Aktipis. It has quickly become a major force in the competitive New York model and talent market. He recently became a new addition to Black Entertainment Television's number one rated show, "106th & Park."
In 2005, DJ L embarked upon an extremely successful promotional tour for his mix tapes. His hard work and consistency paid off when fans and distributors in Greece and Japan rolled out the red carpet for his in-store appearances. DJ L consistently has distributed an average of 60-70 mix-tapes annually for the past five years.
DJ L has had some of the biggest names in music host his mix tapes such as Jim Jones, Wyclef Jean, Swizz Beatz, Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, Trey Songz, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo.
